A surface flow wetland operated by Te Kinga Holdings Ltd treats sewage and grey water from properties within the onBrunner subdivision. This method of sewage disposal and treatment removes the requirement for individual on site treatment systems and the potential for odour and contamination. The wetland is ecologically engineered to use biomass filters (wetland plant species) to remove contaminants from the effluent inflow. Innovative ecologically based wetland design and continuous maintenance have enabled the sewage treatment facility to operate effectively and efficiently since its construction in 1998. No other development within in the Lake Brunner area has invested in comparable sewage treatment infrastructure (including municipal schemes) that can treat waste to the high standards achieved by the onBrunner treatment scheme.

Our philosophy is ~ that the privilege to live in a beautiful environment should be balanced by the responsible and safe disposal of our waste.
