The onBrunner subdivision is situated on the shores of Lake Brunner, West Coast of the South Island New Zealand. The closest city and international airport is Christchurch located a distance of 223km by road east. Alternatively the TransAlpine scenic passenger rail service journeys between Christchurch and Greymouth daily and passes our settlement of Te Kinga with a scheduled stop at Moana 4kms west.

Travelling by road from Christchurch head west along SH 73, travelling through the small rural settlements of Darfield, Sheffield and Springfield situated on the Canterbury Plains. Beyond Springfield is the first alpine pass of Porters Pass descending to central high country valleys of Cass, Castle Hill, Grassmere and the Bealey. Proceeding over the Waimakariri River the landscape changes to beech forest in towards the Arthurs Pass alpine village at 93km west of Christchurch. Continuing along SH 73, the Otira Gorge is the second alpine pass and includes a major viaduct crossing set in between two steep mountain scree slopes. The forested landscape now merges from alpine beech forest to that of towering lowland rainforest. Continue until the sign posted turnoff just after Jacksons for Lake Brunner where you leave SH 73 turning north across the Taramakau River and the signposted Tourist Drive Lake Brunner. Follow the yellow AA signs for Moana until you reach the sign posted turnoff for Te Kinga/ Iveagh Bay. Follow this small country lane down through the railway underpass, up and over the Crooked River Bridge and into the holiday hamlet of Te Kinga.

• -In winter chains should be carried as at times these are required on Porters, Arthurs and Otira sections of the route.
  
• - There are several one way bridges, a red arrow on approach indicates
  
• - Give Way to oncoming traffic.Always be mindful of wandering stock and small wild animals that may appear on the road.
  
• - There is no cellphone coverage between Springfield and Arthurs Pass, and again between Arthurs Pass and Lake Brunner.
